Melissa found her calling in the midwifery model of care, and her journey is driven by an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every client feels seen, heard, and truly understood. It's not merely about clinical expertise for Melissa; it's about fostering genuine bonds and nurturing souls.

Samantha's love affair with birth and babies dates back to her earliest memories. Her approach is a blend of heartfelt passion and meticulous education. Samantha's mission is to provide care that's not only well-informed but also genuinely empowering, placing the client at the very center of every decision.

In 2018, fate beautifully intertwined the paths of these two dedicated midwives. Melissa saw potential in Samantha, welcoming her as a student. Since then, they've joined forces, forming a midwifery powerhouse that Denver's community has come to trust and love. Together, they're more than just healthcare providers; they're advocates, guides, and friends to the families they serve.

Empowering, Experienced Support
Meadowsweet Midwifery provides comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for healthy pregnant women who choose to give birth in their own home setting. A collaborative care plan physician is available for a consult when indicated.

Melissa and Samantha are awesome! They are professional and experienced to handle all situations. Melissa has delivered all 4 of my babies at home. I totally trust her to make the right decisions and recommendations for anything that comes up during my births. She’s gentle and loving and also bosses me around when I need it ha! I am so happy I chose to do a home birth with Meadowsweet Midwifery. I absolutely love Melissa and Samantha! I am a first time mom and was looking for a team to be on my same page with an all natural delivery. Every appt with Melissa and Sam was warm and comfortable and they gave me time to ask a million questions (unlike the OBGYN appts). Their knowledge and experience is limitless. I was incredibly impressed with their constant encouragement. They made me feel strong in the most challenging moments. Also, their assistance in postpartum care is unmatched. They are so personal and helped me around the clock. I would have never received the help I needed postpartum if I had done a hospital birth. I strongly recommend Melissa and Sam to all pregnant women. You will not receive better care, encouragement or knowledge anywhere else.

We can't begin to say enough great things about Melissa and Samantha @ Meadowsweet Midwifery. They are nothing less than amazing. My wife and I had always planned on having a home birth and when we first met Melissa we knew that we wanted her to be our midwife. The time and attention that they put into each client is so comforting knowing you have someone in your corner to answer ANY question you have throughout the entire process. Both Melissa and Samantha care deeply about each and every patient and it really shows. During the actual home birth, we had no doubts and they took care of everything, while we focused on bringing our little "Baby Bear" into the world. Melissa and Samantha were incredible. The depth of their knowledge and quality of care blew us away. We had our first baby with them during the pandemic and they took every precaution imaginable. Their constant availability, expertise on so many different topics pre- and postnatal and the number of visits they made to our home postpartum were a few additional things they did that were so helpful.
We will be life-long customers and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in having a birth experience that places the well-being of the mother and infant, first.
