Melissa started attending homebirths in 2003 because she wanted to make a difference in women's health care. She has always been drawn to the midwifery model of care because of how much it enables her to empower other women. It's a model where women are truly heard, honored, and cared for as whole beings, not just bodies. She is grateful for the opportunity to form trusting and nurturing relationships with her clients while at the same time providing a high level of experienced medical care.
Meadowsweet Midwifery serves people of all backgrounds, races, religions, orientations, genders, sizes, abilities, nationalities, and more. We are a safe space for our community.
We do not discriminate.
We’re taking the following precautions to keep you and our families safe:
If you have a fever or cough or suspect you have been exposed please contact us to reschedule your appointment.
We ask that clients wait in their vehicles or outside the building to allow us time to clean between every client.
Clients should wash their hands prior to entering the office.
Melissa and Samantha will wear masks and gloves as needed with each client and during your birth.
Covid19 and antibody testing will be available to our clients effective June 15th with extra precautions and by appointment only.
We’re in this together!
They let me have The birthing experience I wanted. I am grateful to have had their support and knowledge every step of the way.
Helped this first time mom through pregnancy and have an empowering home water birth. I could not have asked for a better team to help me through my transition to motherhood.
Melissa is an excellent midwife; from the moment I met her I felt comfortable and well cared for. She is knowledgeable and flexible, and family-oriented.
Melissa is one of the best at what she does and one of the most compassionate, kind-hearted people I have met. I trust her completely and strongly recommend her to any parents interested in a safe and happy home birth.
